What to include so we can help in one round: your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About), the app version (shown at the top of Settings → Acknowledgements), and what you did just before the problem. If the engine behaved oddly — did not move, moved somewhere strange, took very long — open the app's Settings and use "Send the engine log"; it attaches a diagnostic file that contains no board positions, no saved games and nothing that identifies you.
Things people ask
The opponent isn't playing. Playing against the engine is a switch: Settings → "Play against the engine". With it off, the app is a board for two people at one phone. If the engine is on and a move does not come, the board says so and offers "Try again".
The opponent is far too strong on 13×13 or 19×19. That is how version 1.0 is: the adaptive opponent — the one that plays near your level and adjusts between games — works on the 9×9 board only. On 13×13 and 19×19 the engine plays at full strength.
Where are my games? Every move is saved as it is played. Open the game menu and choose Games to see every game, finished or in progress. One game in progress is kept per board size.
The score looks wrong. The app counts area, the Chinese way: your stones on the board count as well as the empty points they surround. Many other apps count territory only. Same game, different arithmetic; the end-of-game card shows every count so you can check it.
The game says it was "not contested". One side never really played — it passed on more than half of its turns — so there is no result to count. The game is kept and can still be reviewed.
Can I play a friend online? Not in this version. There is no network play, no account, and no online anything.
